A F1b Aussiedoodle is 25% Australian Shepherd and 75% Standard Poodle.

will my doodle be hypoallergenic?

“Hypoallergenic,” which simply means that a particular dog or breed of dogs (in this case Poodles/Doodles) is less likely to cause allergies. The English prefix “hypo” means “less than” or “under.”

That being said, no dog is totally allergy free and it is best to interact with a pup before making the commitment to it.  I (Alexa) have severe allergies to dogs and haven't had a problem with my doodles, which is another reason why I love them!

Both Lucia and Ryder are extremely light shedders.  That being said, we still encourage you to get in contact with us if you have any further questions.

Grooming

Doodles have the most amazing coats if you take care of them!  I typically groom (shave) Lucia myself once a month in the warmer months, and every other month in the winter.  Sometimes it's just a quick head and sanitary trim, sometimes she needs a bit more!  I personally have never struggled with mats or tangles on my doodles, and with Lucy's being half Australian Shepherd, her coat is very easily managed.  Upon purchase your doodle, you will receive information on how to best care for their coat.  In the meantime, we recommend you check out this site: Mastering Doodle Coat Care

Training

If you are a first-time dog owner or haven't had a puppy in a while and need a refresher, we highly recommend you sign up for puppy classes near you.  Training begins the moment they set their paws in your home.  Alexa will be available via text, email, and phone call for any of your questions, and you will be sent home with a detailed puppy packet to ensure your journey starts out with as much joy and as little anxiety as possible!
